Specialty Lattes Near North York & Scarborough
Some people come in for brunch. Some people come in for one drink and end up ordering food too. Here is what to try if you are here for coffee first.

Kitchen closes 30 minutes before closing. Drinks depend on café hours and availability.
Not every café drink has to be serious.
Some days you want a normal latte. Some days you want something sweet, creamy, iced, colourful, or just fun to hold while you sit and talk. That is the kind of drinks menu we like.
Karkumi Cafe is on Gordon Baker Rd in Scarborough, close to the North York side. If you are nearby and looking for coffee, matcha, fruit tea, or a drink with brunch, here are a few easy picks.
Crème Brûlée Latte
This is the drink people ask about first.
It has espresso and milk, with a crème brûlée-style top. It is sweet, creamy, and a little dramatic in a good way. You get the coffee, but also the dessert feeling.
It is good when you want coffee but also want a treat.
Menu price: $6 hot / $7 cold
Best with: Chicken Croffles, French Toast, or Crème Caramel.
Tiramisu Latte
The Tiramisu Latte is softer.
It is inspired by tiramisu, with espresso, creaminess, and cocoa flavour. It feels like dessert, but it is still a drink. We are keeping the description simple because ingredients can change, and if you have any allergy or ingredient questions, please ask us before ordering.
Menu price: $6 hot / $7 cold
Best with: Beef Short Rib Benedict, Lava Cake, or just by itself.
Honeycomb Latte

Honeycomb Latte is for people who like sweet drinks but do not want something too heavy.
It is warm and cozy when ordered hot, and easy to drink cold. Good for people who want something sweeter than a regular latte but less dessert-like than the Crème Brûlée Latte.
Menu price: $6 hot / $7 cold
Best with: French Toast or Affogato.
Matcha Latte
Matcha Latte is a good choice when you want something not coffee.
It is smooth, green, and a little earthy. Some people order it hot. Some people only want it iced. Both make sense.
Menu price: $6 hot / $7 cold
Best with: Smoked Salmon Benedict, salads, or a lighter brunch.
Other tea lattes
We also have tea lattes like Hojicha Latte, Black Tea Latte, Iced Jasmine Latte, Purple Yam Latte, Blue Butterfly Pea Flower Latte, and Black Sesame Latte.
These are nice if you want something different from regular coffee. Purple yam and black sesame are especially good if you like cozy, slightly nutty, dessert-like drinks.
Menu price: $5.50–$7 depending on drink.
Fruit teas, sodas, and slushes

Not everyone wants coffee. That is okay.
For cold drinks, we have iced sodas, slushes, and fruit teas. Flavours include lychee, mango, peach, passion fruit, grapefruit, black currant lemon, lemon oolong, mango green tea, lychee oolong, and mix fruit tea.
These are good with pizza, pasta, or anything heavier. They make the meal feel lighter.
What should you order first?
If you want the drink most people notice, get the Crème Brûlée Latte.
If you want a dessert drink, get the Tiramisu Latte.
If you want something easy and green, get the Matcha Latte.
If you want something cold and refreshing, get a fruit tea or soda.
If you are still unsure, ask us. We are used to people standing at the counter and saying, “I don’t know what I want but I want something good.”
That is a normal order. We can work with that.
